Flying today, July 7th

“Every Which Way But Loose” described more than the old Clint Eastwood movie this morning as newest LAFFS member, Matt Biga, entertained us all with the best 3D flying ever seen at Elkins Field.  With his big Hangar 9 “Extra 260” powered by a twin DLE up front, the Peanut Gallery was entertained immensely, with and without the smoke being on.  At one point as he was hovering vertically in place for an extended period of time I told him I thought his plane was stuck.  Leonard Baker brought out his venerable “Laser 200” with a DLE 35 up front for the first time in almost 20 years of being a hangar queen and it acquitted  itself well, showing lots of potential to be a mainstay of Leonard’s stable.  Also, Harold Anderson convinced Mike Mazzio, a member of the original LAFFS club, to come out and re-acquaint himself with former members and meet some of the current crop of flyers.  Welcome, Mike! In all, it was a great morning.  Thanks to all who came out.  Attached are some shots of the action.
