Fourth of July Float-fly

The wind was a little higher than forecast, but a goodly group of LAFFS members had a fine start to the Fourth of July holiday today, thanks to Steve Jakubiszyn making arrangements with the VA Center for us to be there. The highlight of the morning was Matt Biga’s 83” Cessna 150, which was just majestic in all attitudes and was the focus of everyone’s attention. The accompanying photos show it as well as a sampling of some of the other planes and watercraft that showed up. While I was taking photos of some of the flyers and floaters, Harold Anderson wondered if we could capture the water droplets coming off of the floats of the big Cessna. Harold, the last photo in the array may answer that question.
